可膨胀石墨
可膨胀石墨是经过特殊的化学或电化学法制备而成的石墨层间化合物(GIC),再经过中和、洗涤和干燥而得到。可膨胀石墨在高温条件下其体积可以膨胀150-350倍,形成蠕状石墨。这种蠕状石墨结构疏松、易渗透、变形和互相嵌入,且表面积增大、表面能量和吸附力增强。这样,它的柔韧性,弹性和可塑性都大大增强。不过不同的生产工艺和方法所制备的可膨胀石墨由于其颗粒大小、膨胀体积、初始膨胀温度、碳含量和挥发物等的不同其性质有所差异,用途也有所不同,但基本都是各种柔性石墨制品的优质原材料。我们所生产的可膨胀石墨可专业应用到如下领域:
1. 可膨胀石墨主要用作中间产物。在烤炉中用1000℃高温膨胀之后,就可以得到膨胀石墨。它可用于制造石墨片和石墨密封圈,一种工业上重要的密封材料。它具有耐热、耐火、抗腐蚀和强化学品的性能,是目前市场上应用最为广泛的密封材料。(见图示1)

2. 可膨胀石墨越来越多地用作防火间隔材料和阻燃剂,以及在塑料、泡沫和木制产品、原子灰和涂料中作为防火添加剂。当可膨胀石墨暴露在高温条件下时,会形成一层不可燃烧的石墨焦绝热层,使得它能够在建材工业中满足日益严峻的防火安全法规。(见图示2-3)
3. 用可膨胀石墨制做而成的柔性石墨纸结合了其本身的柔性和重量轻的特性可以大大改善热量的传导性能。柔性石墨技术用于热量传导是通过石墨晶格结构提供的唯一各向异性实现的。局部使用柔性石墨纸可以达到快速传导热量的目的,从而达到快速局部散热冷却的作用 (例如下图示6笔记本计算机外壳上使用的柔性石墨纸就是起到快速传递出热量的设计)。

LINK2">4. 可膨胀石墨作为燃料电池材料,是利用可膨胀石墨层间反应的自由能变化转变成电能。通常以可膨胀石墨作为阴极 ,以锂为阳极 ,或以可膨胀石墨复合氧化银作为阴极 ,锌为阳极。氟化石墨、石墨酸及 AuCl3 和 TiF4 等金属卤化物的可膨胀石墨已应用到电池中。(见图示4-5)

Expandable Graphite
Expandable graphite is a graphite intercalation compound (GIC). The expandable graphite can be made through chemical method or electrochemical method to prepare GIC. After reaction, neutralizing, washing and drying are necessary. The expandable graphite can be expanded 150-350 times in volume instantaneously under high temperature during treatment, and become vermiform graphite which is loose, porous, curved, mutually inlaid in structure with large surface area, high surface energy and strong adsorptive power. In this way, its flexibility, resilience and plasticity are increased. However, different production flow and methods to prepare expandable graphite due to its particle size, expanded volume, onset expansion temperature, carbon content and volatile results in different physical and chemical properties and application range, but basically it is high quality raw material of all kinds of flexible graphite products. Our expandable graphite can be applied to the following areas:
1. Expandable graphite was mainly used as an intermediate. After expansion at 1000°C in oven, we get expanded graphite which could be used to make graphite sheet and graphite packing -- an important sealing material in industry. Its resistance to heat, fire, corrosion and aggressive chemicals make it the most universally applicable sealing solution on the market today.
2. Expandable graphite has been used by more and more amount as fire barrier material ,flame retardants and fire-retardant additive in plastics, foams, wood products, putties and coatings. Expandable Graphite forms such an insulating, non-burnable graphite char upon exposure to high temperatures that it enables the building products industry to meet increasingly stringent fire safety codes.
3. The flexible graphite paper made by expandable graphite offer a unique combination of flexibility, weight savings and performance improvement to the thermal conductivity. Use flexible graphite technology for thermal conductivity by leveraging the unique anisotropic properties offered by the graphite crystal structure. It leads thermal conductivity at a fraction of the weight to cool high power components (e.g. laptop casing as below)
4. Because free energy from between expandable graphite layer during reaction can be changed into electric energy, expandable graphite can be used as fuel cell material, normally expandable graphite as cathode, lithium as anode; or expandable graphite combined with silver oxide as cathode, zinc as the anode. Graphite fluoride, graphite acid, expandable graphite with AuCl3 , TiF4 , metal halide have been applied to the battery.
