This TS defines the technical requirements, via testing and appraisal for the certification of
these door closing devices used to maintain the performance of insulated, partially
insulated or uninsulated fire resisting doorsets, as defined by EN 1634-1, EN 1634-2 or
EN 1634-3 for smoke control doorsets as appropriate. These door closing devices are
intended for use in conjunction with non-metallic or metallic fire resisting doorsets,
including those for smoke leakage control, regardless of whether a latch is fitted.
